A Cultural Mass Media Empowerment: Solution For Social Understanding And Awareness In Ogba Tribe

 The main aim of this present paper is to state clearly the causes of poor social relationships in Ogba tribe as largely due to a lack of modern communication facility and the present of foreign multinational oil and gas companies around them. Hence, there is no free flow of information and ideas as well as trust among the people for the modernization and progress of their communities. A tribe free from Juju-invocation and normlessness. Above all, the paper try to suggest , what the people desires most is a cultural mass media radio-television empowerment which will go a long way in bringing about social understanding and awareness in their communities so that the present of those foreign firms can be felt positively. It further tries to state those challenges ahead and then suggest a way forward. Sociologically therefore, this will help them to improve their social life and social chances as a disadvantaged tribe in Nigerian society.
